For those using N7LTE on VZW right now

What does it show in your account properties as the device connected to that number?

For example, I took my nano sim from Moto X and put it in iPad Mini and my account immediately shows "iPad Mini" as my device (despite it being a phone line on unlimited LTE). When you use a SIM already provisioned like that, what does it show when it connects? I'm curious in regards to that since VZW says it isn't allowed to activate (on a new line, obviously) but the system clearly recognizes it.

All is just fine. SIM card came from an old Xoom.

Cool... So it says you have a device but doesn't know the identity of it. At least that means you're fine in the system as far as it knows. I'm sure once they "allow" the device to activate officially it will populate that data.

What's weird is that mine still shows it as activated on an iPad Mini (where I had it before but it's still a phone SIM) yet it's up and running on the N7.

I can't even use location services via cellular network... it's not finding the tablet.

I have the Nexus 7 2013 LTE and signed up with T-mobile. For the past week, I couldn't locate mine either using the Device Manager. All of a sudden, it started working today and now I can locate it. So it may not be due to your SIM. I hear Device Manager is being rolled out gradually, so it may not be available to everyone yet.

I did a full reflash to jls36c and all is well now. It even showed up as "Verizon Nexus 7" on ADM. Verizon now showing unknown device.

It did, but I happened to have an additional micro sim from an old phone. I just called Verizon, and they transferred service from one sim to the other, no questions asked.

Here's my question about this. Once they actually populate in the system, what kind of plan can I get with it? The wife and I have unlimited data and don't want to do anything to jeopardize that. And we would only really want LTE when we travel, so I would be looking at something month to month that I wouldn't need a contract for. I know AT&T does this, so if Verizon wouldn't, I would possibly go with the AT&T variety.

It won't do anything to your plan if you use an existing line.

I don't have an existing line to use. I talked to someone the other day who said it would take the 4gb of data plan ($40/mo) to not effect my phone data. I don't know why a 2gb plan won't work.
