Hey everybody. This is my first post on this site, so please bare with me. I'm brand new to android and to the G2, i'm coming from a Blackberry 9700 and while i enjoyed the BB, i wanted a bit more and im getting it from the G2.

The only problem that i have with this device is that i get a Force Close message seemingly all the time while navigating through this phone. For instance, even after inputing my patern to unlock the phone i am welcomed with a "Sorry! The application Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped unexpectedly. Please Try again." I get it doing just about everything from unlocking the phone, hitting the button that takes me to the screen where all of my apps are, using the camera, etc.

I've done a couple of days of searching around google trying to find some answers and trying some options such as going into the settings and clearing some data on some of the apps. I've also tried something that was popular with the Blackberry which was pulling the battery and removing the SIM. It seems the only other option is to restore the phone to factory settings and start over. I'd really hate to do that, but im looking for some advice from some of you who have more expierience with this than me.

Other than this error i get, the phone works great. Its fast, all the apps ive tried work perfectly, i can't seem to find a thing wrong with this phone other than these errors that pop up. I love this phone and i'd hate to go back to the Blackberry after expieriencing this.

So what do you guys think? I'm fairly tech savvy and will try just about anything at this point.

Thanks in advance.

Did it do this when you first got the phone? If not then one of your new apps may be causing your phone to have freakouts. Uninstalling apps one by one may work (maybe?) to find the trouble maker. If hardware wise your phone is fine it would be a shame to have to return it for a software problem.

Last resort would be a factory reset, and I would try the general help forum so you can get the advise of more experienced users.

Are you roaming? I just had a very similar nightmare while I was data roaming. The phone would basically freak the **** out - randomly reset, FC everything... you name it. As soon as I turned off data roaming and just left Wifi on - perfectly normal. Now that I am back with a regular T-M signal - all is well. I think there is a big issue with roaming data on this phone currently though ..

Yeah i did go through all of that, tried deleting some apps i felt might have been causing the issue and it didn't help. I finally gave up and just did a factory reset. So far so good which makes me happy because i think this phone is awesome!!!
