So I downloaded the SwiftKey flow beta from their website yesterday and it was killing my battery. Deleted and installed SwiftKey 3 and then downloaded flash from Adobe site. Fast forward 3-4 hours and then chomp sms starts force closing. I have since in install and reinstall with same force closes. I noticed my lock screen news ticker is blank asking me for the country I am in. I click it and it reboots. Start back up and go into settings and once I click on lock screen ticker settings boom, settings force closes.

Wth. Droidxcon thought maybe a factory reset would help but I wonder if the SwiftKey beta and or the flash install corrupted something? Anyone have any thoughts?

If you haven't already, uninstall any apps you've installed within the last few days(back to before the problem started). Don't add any apps, just remove the ones you've added recently. Then reboot. If you don't see any change, try clearing cache before you go full on for the factory reset.

Turn off Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
Press and hold down Volume Up + Home + Power buttons at the same time.
Release all buttons when you see SGN2 Logo.
Android system recovery will be loaded then.
Choose Wipe Cache partition

If that doesn't work then I would go for the factory reset from the same menu.

Thanks for the reply. I did the clear cache last night with no results. I also remembered when sending a picture to family chomp sms said not enough memory. I laughed and went and used stock message app. I went ahead just now and erased a lot of threads in sms. What would cause the not enough memory issue??

Probably a severe memory leak. The note 2 has 2GB of RAM. That's more than all of the 1st and 2nd generation Android phones combined. Check with other people that use Chomp or possibly the developer. Maybe it's a known issue
