Is there anyway to force the update to pop besides checking for it or Force Stopping Google Framework?

I know I should be patient but I can't wait much longer lol!:D

FYI, doing that repeatedly may cause issues with the Play Store, like being unable to download stuff because your device becomes unlisted (among other little things).

So be careful :).

OP = Original Post.

"To do what" = Force Close the Google Framework

LMAO!!!! Wow has this gotten way off track.

And by the way, NO you can not force an OTA update. Be patient, it will come... the Soak Test is live and running right now... it will probably finish around Monday or Tuesday... so the actually OTA push probably will not happen until maybe Wednesday or Thursday... and by start I mean it might then take a week to go out to everybody... so some people might not see it until after 6/30.

Some were able to "force" the 4.0.4 update on the GN. Whether or not it was a successful "force" or "coincidence" remains to be seen :).

I was able to manually update the first day GB went live on my Droid X, if that means anything.

As for the other, some claim not to have been a part of the soak test, so I'm thinking this may have just had a large scale internal test and skipped over soak.

From what I understand this not a soak test, the official update started the 22nd. You just need to be patient, just keep trying. Eventually after the rush is over they'll send out the automatic update to notify users of the update. I got my GB update the next day after release on my OF Evo, but then Sprint doesn't have nearly as many subscribers as Big Red.

There is an "update file" thread on Xda . I did it and am running stock OTA ICS now . No root required and it's pretty easy. I recommend it if you don't want to wait.

The soak is still going on, motorola said this was their largest soak, you will get it next week

The soak may still be going on, but it's rolling out to non-soakers as well. I got my "upgrade available" notification yesterday and I'm not part of the soak test.
