Does anyone know if the force update trick where you go All App --> Select Google Service Framework--> Hit Force Stop--> Clear Data --> Check for Update works? This method worked for 4.3. I was wonder if it worked the same way for Kit Kat?

Just download the factory images, unzip.
Download the SDK from Google
Run CMD, put your phone in bootloader/plug into the pc. drab adb or fastboot into the cmd. Press enter. Drag flash all.bat into CmD press enter.

Congratulations your phone is out of the box brand new. If you want to backup your apps I suggest using a program like wugz root toolkit first.

I remember doing that to get 4.3, and it worked back then.

Not the same case in Kit Kat i assume, since i'v been trying that all day long without success.

Just be patient, it will arrive shortly :)

I don't understand tech speak. You need to put it in common english

That is common English. The "tech speak" is the names of the files and the commands you need to type into the cmd. Can't phrase it any other way

It worked for me this morning after I did that.

This process just worked for me!

Get KRT16S Update on your Nexus 4. (Wifi download till 23rd November 2013)

1. Go to Settings -> Apps -> All

2. Find Google Services Framework.

3. Tap on Force Stop.

4. Select Clear Data.

5. Head back to the Nexus 4’s Settings, go to About, and check for a System Update.

6. If it didn't find update, just repeat everything from 1. (I've got the update on 5th repetition)

OTA is out already, download the OTA package and sideload it offline. Clearing Google Services Framework will cause issues to your phone disrupting Google services and push notifications will no longer function fully and correctly.

Yeah and that 'trick' you perform will cause problems with most of your Google apps..

After you did what? Clear the Google Framework?

Yes after I did it like 4 times. I also rebooted a couple of times and disabled the framework and re enabled it.

I didn't read this post before making mine. Now that I have read that article and my update is in progress, I'll just have to wait and see if clearing the Google Service Framework creates any of the problems mentioned in that article. Keeping my fingers crossed!

As you begin to update your apps go into play and see if play has your N4 listed as a or the device of which all your apps are on. If it isn't then its factory reset time. Thats what i ended up doing since reading that article. It works. Im in Oakland and still dont have the OTA though...

So far, no issues. Gmail is coming through. Not sure how to check my device in Google Play, not seeing the option for that.
