Forcing apps to SD after root

I did a search and didn't find anything that specifically addressed my issue. Sorry if I missed something.

I have just rooted my Optimus V (TitaniumBackup confirms this) and I have an issue forcing apps to the SD card. These are apps that are typically not able to go the SD card. I will use TitaniumBackup to force move them, get a notification that it was moved, and the Settings menu will indicate the app moved to the SD Card (as well as App2SD), but the internal memory doesn't seem to get freed up.

I still have about 57 MB free out of 187 MB, despite having seemingly no apps (except the essential services) on the internal storage.

Looking at DiskUsage, it seems that a lot of my apps are still on the internal storage with a small amount on the SD card (for example 44 MB for Skyfire internal versus 1.5 MB of Skyfire stored on SD card). Granted I used Apps2SD to move a bunch before rooting the phone. So what's the issue? Should I reinstall the apps and then use TitaniumBackup to move them in order to get the most efficient storage?

I'm also new to Android and rooting in general.

Move2SD Enabler is a good app to enable the App2SD option on apps which don't have an install preference. You won't be able to move all of them but several which didn't have the option before will be available to move. Works well with App 2 SD app.

The only thing about the Move2SD Enabler is that once apps that include widgets are moved to the SD card the widgets won't show up in the widget list. Other than that it works great

Yeah, forgot to mention, definitely do not move apps that have associated widgets. If you intend on using the widgets.
Also, if you use the contacts sync with twitter or facebook, leave those apps on the phone as well.

I uninstalled and reinstalled all my apps and freed up a fair amount of memory, but I also picked up Move2SD Enabler and set it to install all apps to SD by default.

I moved apps with Titanium Backup, just long press and move to SD.

Yeah, Titanium long press works to transfer to SD on some apps, thanks!

If your rooted just use the ZenGarden recovery and Link2SD.
I have over 100 apps installed and still have over 100MB of space on the internal storage.
