I'm coming from my Droid X, when I got into the car my dx would automatically pair with sync and play pandora when I said mobile apps. The feature u miss most though is the ability for my phone to send my texts to sync and read them to me. I would get an icon on the radio notifying mevi had a text.

Does anyone else have this issue? Or know how to resolve it. I really don't want to have to install some app when I bought a $25,000 car that I know can do it.

Thanks

I had both a Droid X and Droid X2 and never had an auto connect with my Ford Flex. This could because I ran custom ROMs and this is built into Blur? Not positive.

There may not be an out of the box fix, but you could try an NFC tag on your mount (I use this). Maybe set it up for Car Mode/settings launch. I usually still have to jump into my settings and active the bluetooth connection :/

I do have a tectile set up but the texts don't come to sync. And pandora won't play

The S3 won't do the text reading over Sync. As far as auto starting pandora, if you have it running already, it should restart when you start your car. I use Slacker and I have an 08 Milan. If I turn the car off and I had slacker going, it pauses when the BT disconnects. When I start the car again, Slacker resumes.

I am having the same text message issue since retiring my Droid X for the S3. I am probably going to sell the phone for this reason as the text ban in Ohio went into effect yesterday and I just don't like having to pick up the phone while I'm driving anyhow. Does anyone know if it's a bluetooth stack issue? I can't think of what else it would be that a 2010 phone would work. My Sync system is up to date per Ford (I called about this right when the phone came out and they hadn't tested it yet).
