Forgot direction lock on my galaxy s6

I forgot my direction... I can unlock with backup pin after incorrect attempts.... Anyone can help pls

Welcome to Android Central! Can you also confirm--are you saying that you can or can't unlock with the backup PIN?

In my case, you can use the backup pin to get into the phone. However when I try to change the type of lock in my settings, it again requires conformation of the direction lock and I can't get it right so I keep getting locked out.
