Forgot Lock Screen Pin/Pattern

So I just now found out that if you forgot the lock screen pin/pattern there is a link at the bottom "forgot code" and it allows you to enter your email and a password. Now this may be dumb, but what email and password is it - I have multiple Gmail accounts on my device. And is it the password to that specific gmail account?

I haven't locked myself out...I'm just testing it.

It's the email which you used to set up the phone. Such as for the play store and things like that.

ahh thanks...it wasn't working originally because I have tasker set to turn off mobile and wifi data until the screen is unlocked. A tweak to that fixed it.
