If Amazon was to take a look at this forum I think they'd be a bit nervous. Although the N7 has only 1/3 the number of threads so far, compared to the Fire, it has about 80% of the post traffic already. I doubt it will make it till launch before the posts beat out the number the Fire has thus far. I'd even wager to say within a few weeks of release the number of threads will have also blown by it.

Yeah, remember that a lot of the activity comes from OCD people like me who check every 10 minutes (on a good day

Not every fire owner cares about these things. I'm sure the nexus7 forums will be more popular here though.

Sold mine on ebay the same day I ordered my Nexus 7 (27th).
Kindle Fire sold for $140 and the skin sold for $15 so $155. Just curious how much did you sell your's for? I assume theres probably a lot of people selling their fires now so its probably selling for less?
Are there tv commercials out for the Nexus 7? I personally haven't seen one yet, but I can assume that when they put out a lot of ads on tv if they haven't already, then demand will skyrocket even more. I found out about the nexus 7 through forums, so I don't know how the main stream/non tech folk know it even exists?
None that I know of, but I am sure they probably have youtube ads for the Nexus 7. Seeing how its free advertisement.

They have ads all over Google. And I remember seeing the edition of AM New York (a free morning newspaper given out to commuters in NYC) the day after it was announced. There was a whole article about it in that paper, which is free and highly circulated. So people know it exists I hope.
Google rarely advertises on TV ...they do for G+, which was a first I believe. I wholeheartedly believe its in their best interests to advertise on TV for the nexus 7 and even the Google play market in general. Apple spends way more advertising than Google.

Ohh wow, nice. You got more than I got lol. Apparently it also depends on the time of day on ebay, because I was stalking other used fires throughout that day to see what mine would sell for an d around 4-5pm there were some that sold for $160+. I even saw one somehow sell for $188!! It was used but had a case and a screen protector. But a very short description and only like 2 pictures.
Mine was sold at like 8-9pm and others around that time sold for around the same price as mine.
Next time I will do more research. But I still reached my goal of $150+.
Sold my 16gb Playbook with a case for $200....not sure how that happened, but i'm thoroughly pleased
