Forums Maintenance September 8th & 9th

Greetings Android Central Fans!

Just a heads up that the forums will be undergoing maintenance at 7pm ET / 6pm CT / 4pm PT tonight, September 8th 2012.

Estimated downtime will be ~2 hours. It's all good stuff, so stay tuned for more information!

Update 9/9/2012 3:00AM PDT - We performed a major upgrade tonight of the forums software.

Unfortunately, Tapatalk is causing us some issues and is not allowing members to connect to the forums. We are working to get this issue resolved as quickly as possible. You may also see a few other bugs, here and there, as we continue the upgrade process.

Aside from the Tapatalk issue, the upgrade overall went well, and I think there's a lot of new features you'll enjoy.

I haven't come across any issues or problems, but I'm only just browsing (this is the first comment I've left since the upgrade)

I like the new comment/editor box. (And it just auto-saved? How cool is that!!! I've never noticed THAT before!)

And things seem faster and smoother. But I suspect its kinda like washing your car. Mine always felt faster and more sporty after I washed it

**EDIT** yep, the AC app does appear to be broken as others have posted. Likely linked to the tapatalk issues, so I'll wait.

**EDIT 2** I was the first to reply to a thread last night, but this morning the reply is gone. The original post is there, but my reply (first reply to the thread) and any that were posted after are missing.

Hmmm I liked the; older mobile view less rendering and stuff I didn't need I like index menus type lay outs all the flashy crap gets in the way of the stuff I want to see so to me idk yet just point and shoot not go to this menus go through that advertisement blah blah blah

Not sure if you are aware, but I noticed that certain user's posts are blank. I believe its because of their signature. For example. tvall and BobZhome's post in the Optimus Forums.

+1 for Android Central Forums app access on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet. Haven't tried it on my GS3. Please send out an update as soon as possible. Thanks.

Thanks for all of your hard work, but I have to point out a few issues I'm having. I can't view the forums in mobile view, the AC app won't connect to the forums, when posting this for example, the view scrolls and I can't always see what I'm typing, and when I try to go back to a previous page, the site hangs for a good 30+ seconds. Just wanted to bring it to your attention. I'm sure you're already aware.

Tried connecting with AC Forums app via Thunderbolt on GB and Transformer Prime on ICS. Both stock, non-rooted. Get message "failed to connect to forum if the problem persists contact the forum administrator".

the update has changed how my one.x views the forum. I posted 2 photos on Plume, how do I go back to the desktop view? PleAse help.
Same exact thing happened with the last update as well. I can't post the photos here, I posted them on Plume to Bla1ze, and Phil.

If the software is supposed to detect mobile browsers, and serve a mobile theme for the site, it's failing for Chrome on ICS and JB.

Lol, was thinking the same thing.

When I saw the auto save pop up I was quite pleased. Looking forward to checking out the new site out. Great job guys!!

Yea, I can like other posts, but, can't like yours. I don't have this problem in Chatter though, I see the like button for you there.
