Fossil Q Marshal Update Issue

Has anybody had the same issue that I faced recently? I purchased a Fossil Q Marshal, I think they called it a Gen 2 series, as it had the exact features I required, large face clearly showing the time and the Day and Date showing at the bottom of the screen also in a nice large display. The screen also displayed the temperature, but that and the other smart features were purely a nice to have.
When Fossil rolled out an update, I applied it as requested and with-in a split second, I had lost the Day and Date feature, as well as the Temperature. The very reason for me purchasing the watch was instantly removed by an update.
As much as I tried, I couldn’t display these features in the area that I specifically purchased the watch for. I returned to the place of purchase which was a Fossil outlet and after explaining my situation, asked them for help in setting up my original features. Lucky enough there where watches on display that showed my original set-up. I left both my phone and watch with them for a couple of hours and when I returned I was told those features were no longer available in the original areas. I could have the date showing, but that was only available in one of the small circles at the top of the screen. That option was way too small for me to read, I was then informed the watch could be reset to the original settings but I would now longer be able to update my watch.
I explained I found that unacceptable so retailer apologised for the unexpected changes and refunded my money. I can understand adding features with an update, but removing them, just doesn’t make sense. Please, give the consumer the choice.
I would be interested in any helpful feed-back on my issue and in closing, I would not hesitate to re purchase another watch if these features were made available in the original areas as an option again. I have also voiced my concern with Fossil.

If your displeasure with the update to Wear 2.0 is purely with the different watch face designs that are available then I would suggest looking into 3rd party watch face applications like WatchMaker or Pujie Black. With those apps you can browse through many different watch face designs and select one that's right for you or even modify one to your liking. From day 1 with my Q Marshal (purchased a year ago) I went with Pujie Black and a custom digital watch face that not only displays Time, Date, and Weather but also battery level and four small tap targets that act as shortcuts to important features that I use frequently.

Thank you muzzy996 for your reply. Just what I was looking for. I first tried Facer, but unfortunately that didn't give me the "Tap" option for the Temperature/Weather etc. I then purchased and downloaded Pujie Black, as you mentioned above, the download tells me it is installed, but I cannot find how to access the login. I am completely out of my depth here. If you or any Pujie user can help me it would be much appreciated. I have tried accessing the link in My Apps, I have searched my computer, nothing?????

How did you purchase, on a computer or your phone? Pujie needs to be installed on your phone. Once installed it should be accessible via the Android Wear app on the phone. Also, i have experienced having to factory reset the watch once to get it to work.

That you again or your advice and input again. I downloaded Pujie Black Android Wear Watch Face Designer via Google Play on a Window’s based laptop.

What I wanted to do is use Pujie to develop my own watch face, but I'm getting the feeling I can only do this with Android based products, i.e. Desktop/Tablet/Phone.

My Desktop's and Laptop's are Window's based, my phone is an iPhone and my tablet is an iPad. That maybe my first issue, it might also explain why I cannot see the app anywhere, including on my iPhone. Surely I cannot be the only person trying to use Pujie on a Widow's based PC. Or am I completely misunderstanding the Pujie Black Android Wear Watch Face Designer and it can only be run or used on Androids??

For me I have only made custom faces for Pujie Black using the application on my Android phone. I am not sure what is possible if one only has iOS devices to pair with the Android Wear device.

Thanks for all your help muzzy996. I'm going to install a Android Emulator on my Windows 10 Laptop, from my inquires, this should give me the Android capability I'm after. I'm also due for a new phone, so I'm replacing my iPhone with a Samsung. Now knowing what an Emulator can provide (never knew this was possible) on my laptop and an new Android phone, I think having all this in place should give me the outcome I'm after. Thanks Again.
