Fossil Q Wander no longer working with Verizon Message +

[Android Central Question]

I have had my watch for a year and suddenly it is no longer compatible with Verizon Message +. I would not purchase this watch if I were going to use it with a Verizon phone. The main reason I purchased the smart watch was to get my text messages.
Has anyone else had this problem? I talked with Fossil this morning and they said they were no longer compatible. Does anyone have a solution?

I ditched verizon message+ about 2.5 years ago, in favor of android messages. At the time I was having problems with V message+ with Android Wear notifications. Overall I prefer google native apps over 3rd party. It just seems more reliable for my simplistic-basic usage.
