Found my first bug (also, what version is most up to date firmware?)

So when i get a text the notifications on the lock screen or pull down menu show the correct time, but if i open up my messaging app (stock one) the time is off by 2 hours exactly behind my time. My time zone is correct and i use auto date and time, ive tried manually setting time and the issue still persists. I even called cricket and they said they had no idea but reset my connection just to be sure (nothing changed). Should i try a different messaging app to see if that is the culprit?

Second question: I own the 4.7" idol 3 when i go to system updates it says i am fully up to date, and at the bottom it says "current firmware version is: 5.0.2-acv-uev3" Is this a fully updated phone then? On top of that, i shouldnt have any issues getting updates thru cricket right? Only reason i asked is cause i had to install a ATT sim into my unlocked ATT branded LG G2 to get OTA updates, but this being a purely unlocked phone with no carrier branding i should be all set on OTA updates on cricket aye? I was just surprised i had no updates available out of the box. I know some phones update through the play store like the zenfone 2, is there an alternate way to check if my phone is up to date like maybe a preinstalled app on my phone or a program i can install on my PC?

Thanks for any info on either of these questions : )

I think the 5.5" i3 had the wrong messaging timestamp issue and it was fixed in a update. They should eventually have a update for 4.7" that fixes wrong timestamp and other issues.

Updates don't go through the carriers. You should be able to get OTA updates when they are available. There's also a mobile software upgrade tool on Alcatel OneTouch site that's supposed to let you upgrade to most recent software using a PC.
