FPS stopped working twice today. Reboot required each time.

Twice today I tried using the FPS and it did not work, vibrate feedback, etc.
I had to reboot the phone then it worked.
Software glitch?
Any fix known?

Started happening to me a couple of weeks ago, but rarely. Now it happens multiple times a day. Might be time for an exchange.

The FPS has always unlocked my phone, but the gesture feature of dropping the notification bar acts up every once in a while

If you have the fingerprint gestures on, turn it off and see if it helps. There are other people with similar issues, I've had it about three times now but in my case it has been after having the FP wet, but it seems that it may be software glitch and the only thing that seems to be related to that is the gesture.

So far so good. Disabled the fps notification function, no fps issues since and it actually appears much more responsive than ever.

Settings/Advanced Features/Finger sensor gestures is what I believe is what he's talking about.
