Freezing and Date Change

So I've had a weird problem that has occured twice with my Galaxy Nexus twice in the past week or so. The phone has completly frozen up, can't turn on the screen can't shut it down, nothing at all works. So I do a battery pull and boot back up. Once it restarts the date on the phone is set back to 1999 and I have to restart again to fix the date. Any suggestions or anyone else had a similar issue?

In all of the forums on the Gnex I have viewed I have never seen this issue discussed. Sounds like you have a hardware problem with your phone. I would suggest taking it back to the store for a replacement. If you want to get it done as quickly as possible, wait until the phone freezes up on you again and drive immediately to the store so they can see the issue first hand.

my nexus has frozen a couple times, sometimes it restarts itself sometimes I have to do a battery pull. However I too have never experienced the changed date issue, perhaps you need to go get a replacement?

Sometimes on battery pull the date and time are incorrect (1999), but once it connects to Verizon's network it fixes itself.
