Freezing/"buffering"/stopped videos on S23 Ultra

Hello everyone!
I am rocking the new S23 Ultra and loving the upgrade from my Note 20 Ultra.
I am having one problem though:
When I scroll through Instagram or sometimes even YouTube shorts, the video will freeze occasionally. It is purely random and sometimes it will continue but many times I will have to skip over that video or a few videos to find one that runs fine.

My wifi is strong at 330+ download
I have wiped phone cache and app cache.
I am running beta on Instagram but I do not believe that to be the problem as YouTube does it as well.

Any and all suggestions or commiserations are greatly appreciated! Haha

Re: Freezing/"buffering"/stopped videos on S23 Ultra

So, interesting little find (perhaps) ... in researching this more I found a post on the Samsung Members app that lead me down a bit of a rabbit hole. Long story short, the SIM card came into question (in this case as it related to an issue downloading play store updates on wifi). More specifically older SIM cards that may not play nice with 5G.

Well, early on with my S23U I noticed wifi issues (slow pic loading on social media (or not loading at all), terrible video quality on YouTube, etc.). I turned off WiFi 6 on my router settings, which helped a bit but I'd stillsee issues here and there. After going down the above-mentioned rabbit hole last night I decided to turn wifi 6 back on in my router settings and disable 5G in my phone settings. So far I am noticing significantly better wifi performance as far as playing videos and pics loading on social media sites.

Edit: I failed to mention I do have a pretty ancient SIM card. Honestly can't remember the last time I got a new one ... may be time I reached out to T-Mobile and see what the process of getting a new one entails.

Any reasons you don't convert to eSIM? My wife started having issues with her S22U not connecting to the mobile network when we leave the house and drop WiFi, we converted to an eSIM and it fixed that issue.

Laziness

Honestly, though, never had any network issues so converting or swapping SIM card never occurred to me ... but seeing I now may have to make a change I'm not opposed to going eSIM. Will do some research into the difference just out of curiosity.
Thanks.

Well that was easy! Officially switched to eSIM !

Have 5G on as well as WiFi 6 turned on in my router settings. Will see how things go ...

Well, I thought I was on to something but no dice. Still seeing issues with pics loading with the eSIM, 5G on, and WiFi 6 enabled ...
Oh well, at least Samsung is aware and has a fix forthcoming.

I'm having the exact problem. I've had two s23 Ultra's in the past week as I had a problem and they replaced the first one. Both have that hiccup. Driving me crazy. It doesn't matter if I'm on mine or others wifi or on 5 G. Has anyone figured this out yet? Brand new SIM. Thanks. Mine is an unlocked model if that matters.

I am having these same issues, first it was my Wifi dropping all the time, now apps will not load, videos will not load and I am on my fast wifi, guess I need to call Samsung or Verizon
