Freezing during text

I have had the droid razr maxx for ~18 months now and a couple weeks ago, almost randomly, the device started freezing while texting. I will be typing the 2nd or 3rd word and the phone will freeze. I have to hard reset multiple times just to have a conversation vai text. Recently, it has been freezing during almost any task, especially when I end a phone call (which is about the only thing that works properly, thankfully.)

The phone has been running Android 4.1.2 since it was relseased earlier in the year. I have performed factory reset, disabled verzion bloatware, ran in 'Safe Mode', and the thing still freezes all the time. Constantly restarting my phone is draining the battery life, so it has a hard time lasting through the day.

Does anyone else have this problem? I took it to a phone medic shop and all he said was that there was probably a glich in the latest version of Android and there was nothing I could do... it just seems to me that there must be some kind of hardware damage/issue.. is there any kind of diagnostic app I could run to find the issue??

I replied to your other post, but had a couple more thoughts. Have you tried periodic cache partition wipes? It can help performance a little.

Also, you need to be a bit careful about what you disable. Can you post a list of what you've disabled? I can compare with what I've disabled on my Maxx.

Same problem. It extended from text to URL typing. I had to disable vibrate on text and disabled auto correct.
