Frequent contacts

When I send somebody text on my pixel 3 XL.
It adds them to contacts with my favorites.
I have a hard time remembering how to find how to clear frequents out
And do not know I how to stop it.
Google no will not let you be delete the messaging app out and reinstalled it.
Anybody got any ideas.

You have two options:

You can press the 3 dot menu in the upper right corner and clear frequents

You can long-press an individual contact and remove it

I deleted the stars on the favorites
And I went back to phone and found it.

I was starting the messaging.
Then hitting the 3 dots.
I needed to look for the 3 dots before I started the messaging .

Why is it adding them in.
How can you turn frequents off.
Funny how all the companies turns everything on.
And you have to figure out how to turn them off.
Why not leave everything off and let you turn them on.

Just like google Chrome has feeds turned on and you have to go in and look for them and have them to now show on the homepage.
And when you delete google activity out and history.
It turns them back on.

Makes life harder.

I'm not sure you can turn them off.

On a personal note I don't see a need to for myself
