fresh charge, 10 mintues of use - 90% bat...takes 50 min to full charge

OK, since this update my phone has been a mess...restarts 1-3x a day, always getting HOTT and now the battery seems offensively bad. I can see the whole bump charging thing making the recharge time longer...but 10 min of use and 50 mins to recharge!? I'm in 4G territory but aw man we really need a new update. I saw my buddies Droid X with gingerbread yesterday and it looks and performs great and the battery life seems to be awesome. Anyone else having similar experiences? This is my first complaint thread btw...I was enjoying the phone much more a few weeks ago, now I feel guilty taking it off the charger (ticking time bomb!)

It has been said that the phone switches to battery after 100%, some don't switch back. Maybe that's what happened.

Also, HTC seems to be very conservative with their protective circuitry. It seems like the charging stops when the battery is a little above 90% and the battery meter considers that to be their 100% reading. Now how much variation in that little above 90%? Do some phones stop at 96% and others at 86%? But I also think you're right that charging mode does not always come on, either when you first plug the phone in or when it has drained back to that 90%+ threshhold.

I've had this problem running the gb leak. It took 6 hours to get from 75 to 98%. Since then I have reverted back to froyo and experienced it again.
