In order to get out from under constant low space warnings and 2am reboots, I decided to root my dinc. I did it this morning, using the instructions from Android Forums. Everything worked fine, I had no problems. Yay!
I have two questions, hopefully they're easy and I can move along and be done with this project-
1) Right now the phone's been downgraded to 2.2, and I was at 2.3.4 pre-root. I don't have any interest in playing with ROMs, I just want it to work. wifi tethering would be nice. I don't use video often, but it's nice to have. The camera has to work. I think I'm leaning towards MIUI or TOB. Good? Not good? Something better?
2) I had my backup pro installed prior to the root. I used a different sd card for the zip files and whatnot, and my old card has a backup for my apps and data. Can I switch out the cards and restore that backup without causing any weirdness? It's clearly not a true backup, but it's what I have.
