FRF91 is pretty nice - not had any problems what so ever, but when I put the phone in vibrate mode it doesn't vibrate.

I know the vibrator works, because tactile feedback is enabled and I can feel that go off, but when calls come in the phone is completely silent.

Can not confirm this.

Vibrate works fine on mine. Are you sure you are setting it in the right place?

Yeah - I managed to fix it, but it might have been a corrupt preference.

Usually if I hold the volume down all the way it goes into vibrate mode and you get a picture on the status bar of a phone vibrating. I noticed last Friday a call come in while I was playing with the phone and no vibration.

Anyhow in playing with the prefs (just looking at - didn't change a thing) seemed to solve it.

Having similar issues; after playing around in settings, it appears I can have Silent or Vibrate, not both.

Any suggestions?

Holding volume down all the way will result in vibrate mode for me.

This works when Vibrate settings is either ALWAYS, or ONLY IN SILENT MODE.

So to get Silent and Vibrate, set one of those two, then use the side rocker to run your volume all the way down.

With those two settings, the vibrate function is the only choice besides the actual volume settings. Silent disappears.

I like the SilentMode OnOff widget from CurveFish. It's just an icon that lets you rotate between on, vibrate, and silent. Free and seems to work good for me.

Google removed this toggle option in froyo. Many people complained in the Google forums wanted it removed. I don't get that though, it was a great option.

Anyway I use the silent mode on/off widget mentioned above, its just great.

Found this as the only thread (feel free to post another thread if I'm wrong) where this issue was brought up. If you miss the silent feature as much as I do, please visit the link and post your opinion. Thanks

Yea it's a pretty cool widget, but will never be as useful as just holding down on the volume rocker, at least imo.
