friendstream and htc news

I rooted today, and loaded the 2.1 leak option 3. I've been playing around all day, and noticed that I don't have Friendstream, or the HTC News app/widget either. Are they not included with this, or am I missing something? Do they need to be reinstalled?

The Hero and the Eris don't get them

When you are comfortable swapping ROMS around, try a Legend ROM. They are both included.

Not a huge deal, I was just curious. Any recommendations on a decent news app/widget out there?

im pretty sure Newsrob is the best out there. from both what ive read as well as personal experience.

There's the N1 app that was ported over for 1.5, and they are available on some ROMs I think its like news and XXX, its an app and widget and has news and weather on it.

For News, I just use Genie Widget... it's pretty good.
