Fring app update now available in Marketplace

Fring's web site claims the latest version adds improvements for Android users -- time will tell if that includes the EVO.

I dont think so, but if you use skype on fring you can do EVO to MAC or EVO to PC

From Fring's blog:

"Now, with this latest release, we have worked on your feedback to include quality improvements and support for more Android devices including the Dell Streak, Sony Ericsson X10 and more."

I hope the "and more" includes the EVO!

I noticed once you login it updates your status to "new status message - On mobile by www.fring.com."

Not exactly SPAMing your contacts, but definitely advertises fring. This is the main reason I dont use Fring. I have it installed for Skype video, but I wont use it for IM.

I got the update, and accidentally unsubscribed from Skype (it really should ask for a confirmation when you hit the icon accidentally) and now it won't re-subscribe!

Anyone else having this issue?

Tried on 4G, 3G, and after phone power cycle.

Ugh, I had to completely log out of Fring on the phone, log back in, and THEN subscribe to Skype. And then I immediately got a call (Woohoo for video Star Trek calling!!) and can't verify if all my contacts show or not.
