Finally got my HTC 10 today so I could lay my trusty M8 to the graveyard. However, I got to say I'm underwhelmed and there are two major areas of concern.
First is to do with the screen. I have both phones side to side and I'm not really seeing the vast advantage of the 10s screen quality over the M8. It's a litter bit more detail but it's not jump and grab out at you better. You see it when you look closely but that's it.
Also the screen brightness on the M8 is far more brighter than on the 10. Someone advised that it might take a few weeks for the brightness issue to set itself right and then it will improve, but at the moment my 2 & 1/2 year old M8 is definitely brighter when both are at max brightness.
Second issue is the Wi-Fi speeds...I have both phones connected to my wifi and when I do speed test the 10 is much slower than the M8 is anyone else noticing this too?
On the positive note it is noticeably faster than the M8 and the audio quality is very impressive much better than m8.
I love HTC but I'm not sure I'd actually recommend this as an upgrade over the M8...it has better hardware than the M8 but because of the negative issues above its not amazingly better than the M8 it's just better.
Sorry is this comes across as a whine I'm just being honest...
Has anything else noticed these issues or is it just me...
