Froyo Big Difference?

Try spare parts then set your transitions and window animations to fast or turn them off all together. That may help you out alot and if its the launcher try a replacement adw or launcher pro are both good

Didnt do anything for the speed of scrolling to different screens on stock...Unfortunately. Man I just wish theyd get it right. This craps too choppy and sluggish :(

I'm not gonna lie, I haven't experienced any lagging at all with my Droid X. And, I don't have a Task Killer installed at all. I haven't changed / turned off the animations or anything of the sort. Maybe you simply have too many things running at once? Hopefully, your issue resolves itself soon, I can imagine that being quite annoying. But yes, FroYo is supposed to fly.

I came from an iPhone 4 where the scrolling is very smooth. The X in stock form does slow down and get a bit jerky. I handed my X to my friend yesterday who has an original Droid. When scrolling through the apps it wasn't very smooth and caught him off guard. He was surprised.

Anyways, I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this new experience. I came upon some posts regarding LauncherPro. I installed it last night, and it turned my X into the machine that Moto should have shipped. It's completely amazing how much faster my X responds. In addition to the speed increase I like how it integrates some cool Sense like features. You should try it out. Beware though it is extremely customizable so you're going to burn a lot of time. :D

if its speed from screen to screen get launcher pro and blow the stock one out of the water. if you use adw, on the home screen click menu, adw settings, screen preferences and you will see desktop scrolling speed. move it all the way to the left you can move overshoot to the right if you want that should help out speed with those to launchers.
