Froyo rom on gingerbread ?

I have my quazy reasons. Wife's phone just replaced by assurion. I had a froyo rom, and she was really happy and used to it layout etc.

I just rooted the 2.3.5 and put on MikMik.

But can I put that froyo rom on the gb phone?
