Froyo vs Gingerbread

I was gifted an OG Droid, and have already gone about trying a few different ROMs... it seems to me that the Stock, Rooted, Deodexed 2.2.2 and Stock, Rooted, Deodexed 2.2.3 updates from Peter Alfonso work brilliantly, but any GB ROMs get quite laggy (ie... CM7, Stock/Rooted Peter Alfonso...) haven't tried Bugless Beast but its ready to flash, just wanted some opinions!

Well I see there isn't much discussion in this forum... I think the particular OG Droid I was using is just a piece, as such, a newer model that's not so beat up is running CM7 perfectly!
