Frozen Touch pad, how can I fix this?

Frozen Touch pad

I upgraded my phone this week-end and purchased a new Samsung Galaxy S6. I'm having a problem now with my touch screen. My phone is currently locked and cannot enter my passcode to get access my phone. It's frozen and will not pick up my touch when entering my passcode. I can't restart it because I can't touch the restart button. Help!

Welcome to Android Central! Force a power off by pressing and holding the Power button for about 15 seconds. Then power back on again. Does the touchscreen still not register anything? If so, it may be a defective unit. Bring it back to the store where you got it, and ask for an exchange.
