Anyone know what the full retail price of the thunderbolt will be? I don't have an upgrade for a lonnngg time. I have the incredible and always wanted an evo-like phone on verizon.

At least its not the Verizon iphone price of $749 for 32G, talk about an ouch.

that brings up a good point. the ipod touch 32gb is $299. it has every capability that the iphone has except a cdma radio. that CDMA radio is $450? ouch! that is some kind of racket. i wonder if there could be any kind of trade laws or concumer act being violated? just another reason to steer clear of the fruit.

I was listening to The 404 podcast from CNET on Friday and their guest was talking about how he actually uses his iPod Touch with a Verizon MiFi, he connects to Skype, and maybe the Second Line app and a headset. he gets all of his calls, does what he needs and can be on any network anywhere anytime just by swapping the modem out. That to me is the ultimate in flexibility.

But for me, I am done with Apple's mobile products, I will use their laptops, but outside of a HDD iPod I am done buying new iTouches or iPhones. I just don't see the value in them anymore.

I see your point, but there's no way its violating any laws. There's no law saying a company can't make a ridiculous profit off of something. It hasn't stopped anyone from buying it yet, and I don't think it ever will.
