Has anyone found a program that works correctly with the S8+ ?
I tried 3 or 4 from the Playstore and none were working correctly.

I want a full screen or 1/2 screen high quality photo when I have an incoming or outgoing call. Ultimate Caller ID Screen HD doesn't answer the calls. Full Screen Caller ID, when you reboot, it doesn't restart on its own. You have to access the program.

Does not look like Sync.Me does a full screen Caller ID:

Caller ID photo size & resolution
Sync.ME provides high quality contact photos. It is not a dialer and does not control your device caller ID.

The size of caller ID photos depends on the default caller ID provided through your device and OS version. Photos will not be full screen if your device does not provide native full screen caller ID.

Which carrier? Verizon has native Caller name id app and if you just need pictures, it's free.

I'm looking for something that will display full screen contact photos on incoming and outgoing calls. I'm on Verizon. My contacts are google synced

All galaxys do this, u need to download pictures to the phone than attach photo to contact

Serg, do you have a Galaxy S8 on Android 7? I would love to see a screen shot of an outgoing or incoming call where the Contact Photo is either 1/2 screen or full screen. They are just small pictures with a circle around it. (About the size of a dime)

Here is an example. On my Note 4 the picture is 1/2 size. On the S8 its the size of a dime.

Note 4 is on the left running Android 6. S8 is on the right running Android.
It may be the stock dialer not allowing larger Photo sizes

It's the new "streamlined" material design, aka "no design". You're just supposed to shut up and love it already. /sarc

Seriously, we have these awesome screens and Google decides to make the UI use only a few colors at a time? Who came up with this garbage?

Ooooh, the call screen you pictured has a gradient! It's like 1994 all over again!

So Im guessing that without rooting, we will have to replace the dialer itself? Any suggestions that actually work. Ive tried 4-5 so far, no luck. They dont answer the calls or on a reboot, you have to manually go into the program to have it start working.. or they change the high res photo to low res, etc.. Some of these programs will use the high res photo already attached to the Contact. Others degrade them to low res for some reason.

I'm having the same problem with my Galaxy S7 Edge. The caller picture was displayed fine in Android 6 Marshmallow. However with the Android 7 Nougat update this feature is gone and the contact photo is now appearing within a tiny circle wasting almost half of the screen during calls. Anyone found a solution to this?

There are a few items to understand here.
1. You have to use a 3rd party app. HD Caller ID is the one Im using (ICON: its a picture of a phone with Green Screen
2. Having your contacts in Google works the best for all these 3rd party apps. let me explain: If you are using Outlook or Exchange or ActiveSync..its going to cause issues. What happens is the large photos are immediately overwritten with small ones when you sync because Exchange and Activesync do not support large photos. Google Gmail does support large contact photos.

Hope this helps
