Full screen for HBO through DeX Station?

DeX holds S8+ in portrait position. Does this prevent full screen HBO on monitor from S8+ through DeX HDMI? Full screen for HBO through DeX Station?

I don't watch or use HBO. When I viewed CBS it was in a small box. DeX outputs 1920 x 1080. Docking has no effect.

Maybe mirroring affects the S8+.

I tried outputting to 4k Samsung Smart TV and it didn't scale, didn't show all content, . So waiting for a cheap monitor now.
