G-Mail issues

Recently my Gmail app has been acting up. It still receives emails right away with no issue. But When I read them or respond to an email in app it doesn't register to Gmail nor will it send any out going emails. I've turned my phone off and disconnected and re-connected gmail in my syncs to no avail. Is any one else having this issue? If so have you found a way around it or are you suffering as much as me

I had a problem where I couldn't send email with the Gmail app on my phone.

The solution was to clear the Gmail cache.

Just go into: Menu>Settings>Applications>All>Gmail

Clear cache.

Thank you but when I tried clearing the cache It didn't work. But after I removed the update it fixed it. -___- this is annyoing me to no end.
