G2 and Pandora

My wife just got the G2 and noticed Pandora sounds hollow on it. Is this the issue Froyo was having with Pandora? I have the offical Froyo on my Droid Incredible and it sounds full as always. MP3's sound fine on the G2. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks

I am experiencing that same problem with my G2. With last.fm app the sound is a bit better.

I do not know what you mean by hollow but to me there is no difference

It's set to the default low quality setting, go in and change to high quality for high bandwidth.

Ahh, good to know. My pandora is tolerable on headphones but just aweful when plugged into my car stereo. I'll go check that setting.

Thanks. She has adjusted the setting and it makes a small improvement but is still considerably worse than her old Cliq XT or my Incredible. Songs sound like very low bitrate mp3. Reading some posts about the Froyo update to the Evo, the complaint looks very similar.

Just to add, I've had an iphone 4, an Epic 4g, and EVO, and now the G2.

The EVO and the G2 both have really bad audio quality w/pandora. (Both on Froyo)

The EPIC 4G which still had 2.1 sounded great while using pandora. (I fear for its future)

It seems this has been posted more than once on many forums and always gets ignored.

For those who don't notice the difference have not heard pandora pre-froyo or on an iphone.

I cannot figure out why my Droid Incredible running Froyo did not suffer this same issue after the update. It also defaults to low quality but sounds great. My wife loves Pandora and is considering a return over this issue even though she enjoys many aspects of the phone.

I wish that was the case but I have 3 G2's, and EVO and all pandoras sound pretty crappy to me. ( yes I have them all on HQ )

It only sounds good on the EPIC 4G which runs 2.1

Thanks. Perhaps the fix was already included in the Incredible's Froyo update since it was rolled out later than the Evo's.
