G2 KitKat 4.4

So looks like Verizon won't get the next Nexus. Do you think that the G2 will get 4.4 so perhaps we can get the Moto X style hello google features?

That's hard to say. Verizon may release 4.4 once 4.5 is available to everyone else. They don't tend to be on the cutting edge when it comes to rolling out updates. Keep your fingers crossed, but don't hold your breath.

I saw a post over on XDA about LG and Google partnership indicating that LG will be receiving and distributing updates faster than any other oem. The article was written in Spanish and translate with Google translate, but it mentions LG G2 getting kitkat by the end of October. Of course with the VZW process... you know.

Anyways, I'm just repeating what I read and don't hold any of it as concrete information. Just seeing what I saw.

I know that this is just enabling them, but I would honestly be satisfied if we are able to get 4.4 by January that is as long as it doesn't overlap another upgrade. If 4.4 will be the defacto for a little while, I'd be happy with the first of the year.
