G2 Problem: Attachment (jpg) cannot be previewed or downloaded!

Received my G2 just now. I discovered a big problem:

while sending myself a picture that i'd like to use as my wallpaper, i inadvertently discovered that the jpg attachment cannot be previewed NOR can it be downloaded!

all it would do is to say "Fetching Attachment" and have the circular thing go round and round, with the words "Please wait" next to it.

i have no idea how this could be and i don't know how to fix it! may i ask for help please? Thx.

This is an android issue in the Gmail app itself I believe. If you want to download your attachment, you must go to your Gmail account through the browser. That works

I am actually having a slightly different problem with attachments. I can download them successfully but when I try to play it (a small .wav file in this case) I get either a "can not play this file" (from the built in music player) or a this file does not exist message from doubletwist - in the latter case I know it exists since I saved it directly to the SD card. I actually can repeat this error if I try to open the file directly from the SD card with ASTRO. It's bizarre..

Im having the same issue with txt messages as well. I tried to hold down the pic hoping a pop up screen would show up for an option to save, but it didn't happen . Is this a know problem as well? I wonder if there will be an OTA update for this issue?
