G2x gingerbread update error

So, I already have the cm7. And I wanted to upgrade to gingerbread. The recovery for the gingerbread update was finished, but I see the android and the opened package. Above the android has an exclamation mark. Then, it suddenly rebooted. I tried this twice but the results were the same

CM7 is Gingerbread. A newer version than what's in the leak.

CM7 is a custom ROM developed off the leaked ROM.

CM7 is developed from the AOSP tree straight from Google with some work to get hardware drivers to work. It's not based off of the leak at all.

ROM's like Eaglesblood and bionix are based off of the leak, though.
