G3 and G4 battery the same?

I'd like to know if the G4 is using the same battery because I have an extra unused one from the G3 plus a stand charger from that promo last year. That would be awesome!!

Do you know if the LG made battery charger for the spare batteries that worked with the G3 will work with the G4 batteries?

Sucks they didn't keep the battery the same physical shape.

Yeah would have been a huge win if it were the same battery! But they are not that much more money...

This is true. Just got a Onite G3 battery for $10 on amazon. Was going to put up a review in a week or 2 of use. So far it's no different than what came with my G3 from best buy

Nice! Almost got the anker, given the reviews, wasn't sure it was worth the $. Content with the same battery life as stock, hoping the G4 ups the SOT length.

yeah... that's shame. Well I guess the old unused spare and charger will help sell the G3.

Absolutely different. G3 battery dosen't work on G4. I tried. Even shape of body is different.

If you compare the pins on the batteries the positive pin is in a different position than between the batteries. On the G3 battery is goes Neg - blank - blank - Pos, on the G4 it is Neg - blank - Pos - blank. It will fit in the G4 but don't try to power it up with it in.
