G3 or z2

How many steps is there to access the memory and can you play music directly from the card?

Thanks for a reply

As a Z2 owner I would say switch if you want to try out a new phone, otherwise, stick with the G3. I love my z2 but it is a side grade from the G2. A few things to consider:
- G3 probably fits in the hand better despite substantially larger display
- I live in Alabama, summer temps are around 100F. Z2 camera overheats when outdoors/in sun after minimal use. Not a problem everywhere but a very big deal if it applies. (eg. don't plan on taking pictures in Disney world in June)
- Battery life is very good on the Z2, best I have ever seen. I am an auditor and travel frequently. In one day, I did 3 hours of navigation (screen was not always on), 6 hours of mobile hotspot (for an actively used laptop, 3 hours of audio playback (audible). I did not plug my phone in from 6:30AM to 10PM and it did not die.
- The Z2 (with the exception of the above mentioned issue) has some of the best camera hardware on a mobile device but the G3 is probably about equal at the end of the day. Probably will feel like a side grade from the G3, some pros, some cons.
- Performance is stellar. Sony's skin is light.
- Don't forget that the Z2 is water resistant. This has its own con with port covers. Don't expect to use the magnetic charger with a case (even a light one)

Anyways, I hope an honest opinion from a Z2 user helps. I am right with you on having an innate desire to swap phones on the reg. It is simply fun. Heck, in a few weeks, I would probably be willing to swap with you. Haha.
