I'm finding it's not loud enough when I'm running as well.
Not a solution - when I'm outside I use in ear monitors with a mic or headphones with mike inline. But without, unless it's windy, no problem hearing.

I am on AT&T and mine is just the opposite. I find mine to be very loud and have to turn my volume way down. It's weird how the same phone can perform so different on different providers.

When running what is the impedance of your headphones that you use? Do they have a good seal? I use wired headphones and in ear monitors with my G4 at the gym and running outside - parks and on noisy city streets. The volume level is more than adequate - never need 100% volume. I listen to music at safe levels because I have really great hearing and want to keep it that way. Can you compare to other G4's?

To anyone considering a G4 - at least with the H815 and H811 volume level is what you'd expect from any flagship phone.

Well I may have some hearing loss due to many years of very loud rock n roll! Hehe I have a pretty nice pair of klipsch in ear headphones. They do slip when I get sweaty with my running. I guess if the circumstances were different the volume could be louder.

I am using the LG G4 factory headphones cause they are very light and handy....so now what to do? I can barely listen to music and enjoy running. I used to hear extremely loud with Galaxy S5....this is one of my main G4 drawbacks

I don't know what's next really. Maybe try a different set of headphones?

Did you try with a different pair. Xiaomi Pistons - (I prefer the version 2 not 3) for example are very decent and inexpensive. Can you borrow some headphones for a test?

Smart man! I unfortunately have Tinnitus from going to a very loud club a few years ago. Came out with ringing ears and it never went away. Please folks.....listen to your music at moderate levels!! Protect your hearing!

I use JVC Riptidz for my everyday use. I been using these for a few years now. They are VERY comfy and I suffer no fatigue because they are so light weight. I can literally listen to music all day long and not have my ears hurt! Nice, clear highs with 'tight' thumpy bass. Best budget IEM's I've found on the market! They sound very nice to me at low levels which is where I'm always at. Have to protect my hearing! :)

One of my main complaints of my G4 is how it sounds when I actually use the phone. My iPhone sounds like they are standing next to me. The G4 sounds like they are down a tunnel. I have 4-5 Bars lte and volte turned on.

I have the same problem (Verizon LG G4). I can barely hear the person on the other end of the call with the volume adjusted all the way up. I keep thinking there's an in-call setting somewhere that I can't find that will allow me to increase the volume. Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a fix? Please share!

May be a silly question, but are you using a screen protector or is there a chance that something else is interfering with the speaker?

I'm having the same problem and I wondered if it might be my screen protector. Is there any evidence this could be the problem?

I don't know, I'm just guessing, as that's something physically near the call speaker... could the glass be interfering somehow?

I don't have a screen protector on my phone, and the call volume is great. I was at a crowded restaurant today and was able to have a decent conversation with someone on my phone.
