G4 Plus Voicemail notification will not clear

I am on Verizon and the notification drop down still says 4 voicemails (please read my other post about Visual Voicemail not working). I manually dialed into Voicemail, changed the notification off, exit, then went back in and turn it back on. Still, the drop-down notification says 4 Voicemails are present, when it's empty. Any ideas?

I emptied my voicemail, rebooted phone. Then I left a Voicemail. My notification bar displays correctly now. So this is working, however, Visual Voicemail, on Verizon, using Motorola's created version that still does not work.
