I wasn't aware of the platform fragmentation between ARM and x86-based Android devices (in hindsight, this is somewhat poor form for someone of my background).

Is it a problem?

Most apps work, but be aware that some strictly require an ARM based SoC.

You would think by now developers would just build for both platforms... its really the matter of clicking a check box when you build your project.
