Galaxy 10.1 (2014) isn't showing files in the video player or music player

Hello, I was copied some files over from my laptop onto my Galaxy 10.1, the files transferred, you can open and watch/listen to them everything, they are there, but when I go look in the menu of either app these files aren't displayed and it is rather annoying I have tried moving them and then opening them and nothing does anyone know how to make the files appear in the appropriate app

Off hand, I am not sure. Have you tried restarting the device to possibly refresh the file list?
