Question Galaxy A36 5G

Solution
I'm now confused.

On your second screenshot, the first option shown which I tried to guide you to is there:
App notifications
Choose which apps are allowed to send you notifications.

When you tap on it you should get the screen I showed earlier which I've attached again here.
I will reiteriate once again, I have an A35, and yes that screen is there, and I was able to change settings. MY "A36" DOES NOT OFEER THAT SCREEN.
Your thread title said "Galaxy A35 5G", making it seem like the question is about that phone. I edited it to "Galaxy A36 5G."

Circling back a little -- go to the system settings, then Notifications. Do you see an Advanced Settings option there? If so, tap that, and scroll to the bottom. Do you see an option for "Manage notification categories for each app"?

I know that you were referring to the A36.

I also have an A36 and that option is most definitely there, or at least it is on my phone. If you're saying the option isn't there then I have no explanation for that.

Thank you very much for your help. I did not realize I had done that
No problem. Did you see my followup question? Can you show us a screenshot of your Settings>Notifications menu? Assuming you see an Advanced Settings option there, also show us a screenshot of that.

Not as big an idiot as I am.

I've been in and out having to do a lot of other stuff at the same time which is not a good recipe - for me -to focus properly.

Having read through it again, you are getting the actual notifications but you want to change the particular notification sound for certain apps?

Not an excuse but I'm not far off 70 and my memory gets lost at times.

Sorry 😔
