Galaxy A5 with NewYork 830 only pairs for audio

Hi,

So I've tried searching the internet for a solution but to no avail...

I've a Samsung Galaxy A5 and my car has a Blaupunkt NewYork 830 media system.

In the past month my phone had stopped pairing for media ("paired only for calls"). On the other hand, my wife's phone does pair for media and my phone pairs for media in other cars.

Can anyone suggest how to resolve this weirdness?

I've tried resetting the network settings on my phone, resetting the car media system, and haven't updated my system recently...as there is no update available

Welcome to Android Central! I'm guessing you've done this already, but did you also forget the stereo on your phone, and forget the phone on the stereo?

Also, have you only checked this when your wife's phone is nearby? Or does it also happen when you're in separate locations?

And did you go to the Bluetooth page in the phone, then to the 830, and make sure that Media is enabled?
