Galaxy A7 lite making Calls

[Android Central Question]

When reading about this, it seems you must have as Samsung phone to link the tablet with to make phone calls. Is this true? Another brand of phone cannot be linked and you have no other option they will allow you to make and receive phone calls on the Samsung Galaxy A7 lite Tablet, correct?

I believe only Samsung device according to setting menu on my Samsung phone
