galaxy a8+ 2018 - gallery issue

[Android Central Question]

hey, I wanted to ask for help.
I have the newest version of the gallery app in my galaxy a8+ phone (5.4.16.2) - and recently I deleted my Instagram pictures folder from the gallery, by mistake- and I can't find any "recently deleted" folder in my gallery at all ( I searched in the settings, and I can't find it at all, also- I do remember that in the previous versions of the gallery I had the option to see the recently deleted folder).
I also tried to download some restore apps, they did work- but not for the Instagram pictures that I had in the deleted folder.
another issue- my google photos / Samsung cloud DIDNT back up this folder, so I'm pretty lost, and I would appreciate any help because this folder was so important to me.

Welcome to Android Central! At the bottom right of the main Gallery screen, tap the 3-line menu button, then Trash. Do you see anything there?

P.S I TRIED TO CLICK AT THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF THE MAIN GALLERY SCREEN BUT THERE'S NO OPTION TO SEE THE TRASH FOLDER AT ALL

I merged your threads. Please register on the forum so that I don't have to keep doing this.

So are you saying that your Gallery app doesn't have a Menu button at the lower right? Or that there is a Menu button, but when you tap it, you don't see a Trash option? Show us a screenshot: http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...ide-how-post-screenshots-android-central.html. You'll have to register to post an image, though.
