For apps that have both a made for Samsung app in the Galaxy App Store and a Play Store version, which do you choose and why?

Play Store, because it's my primary source due to selection and it's easier to manage updates from one app store.

Typically Play Store. However the Galaxy App Store may post new versions quicker for Samsung specific apps.

I use the Play Store for most stuff as well. I've downloaded a couple apps from Samsung's store b/c they aren't available on Play. I was just curious if there are many apps with Note specific features that aren't available from Play.

I use both. Play store a little more, but for Samsung specific apps, the Samsung store.

I use both if the Samsung version is more featured. Examples are Kindle (free Kindle book each month), The Weather Channel app seems more robust on Galaxy app store. That's all that comes to mind at the moment.

Primarily the Play Store, but I do try to look for Galaxy apps because they may take more advantage of the edge features. So far I have only found the Weather Channel App. Nothing else has seemed to be of use for me yet.

The main app I use the most is the Amazon Video Player app from the Galaxy App Store. It streams HDR 10 video through the app on the Note.

I have noticed Playstore has more variation so that's the one I use, but if you are looking for specific Samsung apps then you can choose the galaxy app store.

The play store is my go to for app/game downloads. The galaxy app store is solely for the built in apps in the phone like updates for AOD, samsung pay, etc. That's the only reason why I use the galaxy app store otherwise it's just play store for me

Always use play store because I switch phones too much and some are not samsung phones.

This might need to be a separate thread...but how do I find/ensure I'm looking at the HDR 10 content? Is there a special section I'm just not seeing?

Here's a list from a month or so ago that lists both Amazon Prime and Netflix content in HDR 10. Just remember for Netflix you have to subscribe to the 4k plan to get it. I only have the 2 screen 1080p plan. It's included in Prime. So if you already have Prime you don't need to do anything else.

Where and how to watch HDR content on the Note 7

Edit: In my app there's separate sections for both HDR TV included with Prime and a HDR Movies to rent or buy section.

Here's a screenshot.
