According to SamMobile's source the Galaxy Gear 2 will be announced at the end of February:

I have the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear.. I a newbie at this, and an old newbie too. No time to play the waiting game. With that said, from the fun I am having with both of these devices, if a Note 4 or Gear 2 shows up, I am getting them quickly. No reviews, no research, I am buying them quickl fast and in a hurry!!..

Sometimes they don't roll it out to the United States or there is a delay before it gets to us. With that in mind as long as I get at least 6 months out of it before it becomes obsolete I will feel like I got my money's worth.
