I have samsung galaxy grand neo plus and android 4.4.4 I rooted my phone using kingo root and it all went fine. I then unrooted the phone using kingo superuser. Now when i root the phone using kingo root my device enters download mode and then just stucks there while kingo root says that Root failed? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes. You can use the same version that you have on the phone now. You just can't root the phone again without having a fresh untouched copy of the os on it.
